This Saturday, 24th August, G Live in Guildford is holding an over 30’s club day!

Enjoy all the fun of clubbing, without the late night - you can still enjoy the kebab and potential hangover in the morning though! 😛

It will feature your favourite tracks from the 70s, 80s, 90s and a few anthems from later decades of dance.

Get a Rare Peak Into Godstone Fire Station 🚒

As part of the Surrey Fire and Rescue Service initiative, several fire stations in Surrey are holding open days, and this Saturday, the 24th, is the turn of Godstone!

The event will begin with an hour from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM exclusively for individuals with special educational needs, ensuring a more accessible and comfortable experience.

From 12:00 PM onwards, the open day will be available to everyone, offering various activities, demonstrations, and the chance to learn about the crucial work that Surrey Fire and Rescue Service does to keep our communities safe!

Don't miss this chance to engage with your local firefighters and have a great day out with family and friends.

The Silvermere Equestrian Centre Open Day is Almost Here! 🚨🤩

On the subject of open days, there’s a really fun one coming this weekend.

The Silvermere Equestrian Centre Open Day on Monday, 26th August! It's going to be a day full of fun, laughter, and of course, horses! And that’s not all…

Yes, you read that right! To celebrate the Bank Holiday, they’re offering an incredible 50% OFF on all lessons from Saturday 24th August until midnight on Monday 26th August.

• Smile for the Camera: They will have a photographer on-site capturing all the fun. If you’d prefer not to be included in any photos, just the staff a heads-up!

• Cash is King: Most activities on the day will be cash-only, so don’t get caught short.

The "Man Van" rolls into Surrey for cancer awareness: Surrey's newest mobile clinic, the "Man Van," is on the road to help men get blood tests for early prostate cancer detection. Mike Collins from the Prostate Project will be driving the van around Surrey, making it easier than ever for men to get tested without needing a GP appointment. The Man Van will make its debut at Guildford Farmers’ Market on 3 September, so drop by, learn more, and take charge of your health! 🎗️🚐

Can you imagine being 115 years old? Well, Ethel from Surrey can: Ethel May Caterham, thought to be the UK and Europe’s oldest woman, celebrated her incredible 115th birthday at Hallmark Lakeview Care Home in Lightwater, Surrey. Born on 21st August 1909, Ethel has lived through an extraordinary era - she’s even the last surviving subject of Edward VII! Her secret to a long life? “Never arguing with anyone, I listen and I do what I like!” she says - love it, happy birthday Ethel! 👵🏻🎈
