If you like Christmas markets, and I’m going to take an educated guess and say you do, there’s a big one this weekend.

The Etsy Guildford Christmas Market is making its much-anticipated return to Guildford Cathedral on Saturday, 30th November 2024, from 10 to 4.

We’re all guilty of browsing Etsy for far too long, so why not do it in person for a change!? 🎁✨

Epsom On Ice: Glide into the Festive Season! 🎄⛸️

From Thursday, 28th November 2024, to Sunday, 5th January 2025, Epsom On Ice returns to Epsom Downs Racecourse, offering ice skating fun for the whole family.

Whether you’re a seasoned skater or more of a clinger-to-the-side type, this is the perfect way to add some sparkle to your holiday season!

For those that are interested after Friday’s digest segment, a luxury 1967 Jaguar Mark X 4.2, once owned by pop icon Madonna, failed to sell at auction over the weekend in Weybridge, Surrey: Despite its celebrity connection and a history of being used in Madonna’s photoshoots, the rare classic car—estimated at £16,000–£22,000—didn't find a buyer. Auctioneers remain hopeful it will find a new home soon. Meanwhile, a 1925 Ford Model T with a film and TV pedigree sold for £13,156, proving sometimes the silver screen outshines the Queen of Pop! 🛞✨

The arts scene in Redhill is taking a hit this Christmas, as the Harlequin Theatre remains closed due to structural concerns over reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC): Since its closure in September 2023, performances have been relocated to pop-up venues, but these too shuttered in September, leaving no plans for a festive pantomime this year. The council is exploring alternative arts and cultural events in the borough, with further structural analysis of the theatre expected soon. Residents will have to wait until January for an official update, but for now, it’s a silent stage in Redhill. 😞🎄
