Weyfest is back and bigger than ever! 🎸

This year's festival promises to be a fantastic weekend of music, food, and fun.

It’ll be on from August 15th to 18th at the Rural Life Museum in Tilford, Surrey, which is just around the corner from Farnham, and is a fantastic little festival, it’s not the chaos of Glastonbury with only 6,000 or so attending, but it’s an unbelievable atmosphere!

And it’s not just music, there’s a ridiculous amount of food and drink, a climbing wall, a sci-fi zone, a kidzone, wellbeing area, axe throwing, the list goes on! 🎉

Tickets range from £50-£75 for day tickets and up to £200 for a 4 day pass, whichever takes your fancy, and you can get yours here.

We Can’t Forget National Prosecco Day!

I know, I know - we mentioned the vineyard tour at High Clandon, and now Prosecco - I promise, this is a coincidence, this is not a newsletter focused on alcohol!

It’s early August, but the weather lately makes me feel like we’re approaching the end of the Summer, it’s going to be a nice couple of days, so I thought you’d all appreciate the mention.

If you're looking for the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of prosecco, Surrey boasts a fantastic selection of pubs.

Here are a few of our favourites to get you started:

• The Onslow Arms, Clandon: This charming pub offers a delightful atmosphere and a great selection of drinks.

Bad news for Guildford commuters: The Onslow Park and Ride is set to close its doors at the end of August. This means one less option for those looking to avoid the town centre traffic. Let's hope the remaining Park and Rides at Artington and Merrow can handle the increased demand. 🚌 🛑

Aston Merrygold (of JLS if you’ve forgotten him!) in making a local appearance: Aston Merrygold is set to make a special appearance at Shooting Star House on Tuesday, August 13th from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm. This is a fantastic opportunity for families to enjoy a fun-filled afternoon of music and games in the beautiful garden setting. 🧸🎙️

Local climbing legend brings home Gold for Team GB: The participants in the boulder and lead climbing event’s in Paris didn’t know what hit them as Toby Roberts smashed it and claimed gold! From Elstead, he’s one of our own - and only 19, there’s a lot more to come from him.. the training he did on a wall in his garden has truly paid off! 🥇🧗
