🌳 Festive Fun Day's, Harry Enfield, What's On & The Wordle | 10th November
TOGETHER WITH

Good morning, Surrey! Simon here. This is Inspired Surrey. We’re into the thick of November now — the fireworks have fizzled out, the pumpkins are slumping, and suddenly every shop’s blaring Michael Bublé. 🎅☕ If you’re still trying to resist the mince pies aisle at Waitrose, stay strong, or don’t, it’s been a long year already!
Fun fact: LEGO has a set depicting a kid getting an MRI that they don’t sell but rather donate to hospitals. 96% of the hospitals report reduced anxiety when kids get to play with it before their MRI. Can they make an adult one, too?

Just Announced: Harry Enfield Brings "No Chums" to Guildford – November 2026! 💰👨👦

Mark this one in your diary now, because legendary British comedy icon Harry Enfield has just announced a very special evening at G Live, and if you want tickets, you'll need to act fast!
A Night with a Comedy Legend
On Monday 16th November 2026, the self-proclaimed "stupid idiot" behind some of Britain's most beloved comedy characters will grace the stage at G Live's Main Auditorium for an intimate and hilarious evening. This is a rare opportunity to spend time with one of the architects of British satirical comedy as he reflects on an extraordinary 40-year career.
What to Expect
Harry will be taking audiences on a nostalgic journey through his greatest hits, bringing iconic characters vividly back to life on stage. Remember the Thatcherite phenomenon that was Loadsamoney? The perpetually furious Kevin the Teenager? The infuriatingly patronising old gits? They'll all be making appearances as Harry shares stories from four decades of "arsing about in comedy."
The evening features a unique Q&A session where you'll have the chance to ask Harry about his creative process, what he's most proud of, and his thoughts on that question everyone seems to ask: "You wouldn't be allowed to do your stuff today, would you?"
Ticket Information:
🎟️ Prices: £40.99 - £60.99 (plus transaction fee up to £3.95) 📅 Date: Monday 16th November 2026 📍 Venue: G Live Main Auditorium, Guildford 🔞 Age Restriction: 18+ only
Book Now – This Will Sell Out!
While November 2026 might seem ages away, tickets for comedy legends of Harry Enfield's calibre have a habit of disappearing remarkably quickly. This is a performer who defined a generation of British comedy, whose characters became part of our national vocabulary, and whose influence can still be seen in comedy today.
Don't wait – secure your seats now for what's sure to be one of the comedy highlights of 2026! 🌟

The Digest 🗞️😀
RHS Garden Wisley is getting ready to wow us this spring, with over 100,000 tulip bulbs now tucked into the soil for a jaw-dropping floral display come April. From bold reds and sunny yellows to delicate pinks and lilacs, the blooms will carpet the Jellicoe Canal banks, the Old Laboratory lawns, and even the Sundial Lawn, with 100 different varieties showcased in the Trials Garden. It’s set to be a colour explosion and a true spring showstopper! 🌼📸
Long before the national tradition began, the quiet market town of Farnham made history on 10 May 1916, by holding what’s believed to be the world’s first two-minute silence to honour those lost in World War One. Held in Castle Street just before a local agricultural fair, the entire crowd paused at 11am, the only sounds were distant cattle and the occasional car. It was deeply moving and completely spontaneous, years ahead of King George V’s national silence in 1919. A plaque now marks the spot where Farnham quietly sparked a global tradition. 🕰️🌹
Former paramedic and father-of-two Alistair Walker, 33, has won a £4 million dream home in the Surrey Hills — plus £250,000 cash — through an Omaze prize draw. Now an NHS manager, Alistair was "floored" by the win, calling it perfect timing after welcoming his second daughter. Though he lives in Darlington, Alistair has strong ties to Surrey — it’s where he met his wife — and says the family will definitely spend time there (especially with a private pool on offer!). I’m definitely envious!! 🎉🏊♀️

Weather
Monday
14° 🌡️ 8° | 🌥️ | A fairly calm start to the week across Surrey. Mostly cloudy with a few sunny spells peeking through. Highs around 14 °C, dipping to 8 °C overnight. You might need a jacket for the school run or your morning coffee dash.
Tuesday
15° 🌡️ 12° | 🌧️ | The classic “is it drizzle or proper rain?” kind of day. Cloudy, breezy, and damp across much of the county. Highs of around 15 °C. Great excuse for a cosy indoor day or a quick coffee stop somewhere warm, Farnham Maltings café, anyone?
Wednesday
15° 🌡️ 12° | 🌦️ | Midweek brings more clouds and on-off showers. Highs near 15 °C. It’s not all bad, though; some spots like Reigate or Dorking might see a brighter break in the afternoon. Keep the brolly handy, but don’t cancel your plans just yet!
Thursday
16° 🌡️ 12° | 🌧️ | A touch milder, but still patchy rain floating about. Some sunny spells could sneak through in the east of the county later on. A decent day for a walk if you pick your moment right, the kind where Surrey Hills looks beautiful.
Friday
15° 🌡️ 11° | 🌧️ | Rounding off the week with more of the same, cloudy skies, the odd shower, and temps holding steady in the mid-teens. Not a total washout, but definitely a “coat on, coffee in hand” kind of day.

Thank you! 👍
