You Just Can’t Miss Farnham Food Festival This Weekend! 🍕🌽
One of the most anticipated events of the year is back! Farnham's Food and Drink Festival (or feastival!) is bringing the flavour on Sunday, September 29.
This one-day food event has grown into one of the biggest in the southeast of England, and this will be their 15th year!!
Over 100 traders will be setting up shop, tempting you with everything from gourmet street food to freshly baked treats. Feeling fancy? There'll be plenty of unique cuisines to sample too, along with hand-crafted cocktails and mocktails. (This is a cheat-day-worthy event!)
If great food and drink aren’t enough, local bands will be bringing the vibes with live music throughout the day. Grab a bite, find a spot, and enjoy the music.
Pro Cooking Tips? Yes, Please! The festival’s cookery demo theatre will feature professionals sharing their culinary secrets. Whether you're after new kitchen tricks or just love watching people cook fancy stuff you’ll probably never attempt, it's worth checking out.

The Digest 🗞️😀
The Met Office has issued a 24-hour yellow weather warning for Surrey on Monday: With even more heavy rain expected, the downpour could cause some disruption, including flooded roads, difficult driving conditions, delays or cancellations to public transport, and even potential power cuts. While the heaviest rain is uncertain, we could see 30-50mm of rain in just six hours, with some areas possibly facing up to 100mm throughout the day. So, if you're out and about, brace for wet weather and travel disruptions.. and don’t forget your brolly! 🌧️⚠️
South Western Railway is on a mission to recruit more women drivers as part of its commitment to closing the gender gap in the rail industry: Currently, only 8% of its driver force are women, and the company is eager to change that. SWR, which operates services through Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire, and Dorset, encourages applications from all community sections, emphasizing the benefits of a more diverse workforce. No prior experience is necessary, and training takes only 18 months - with vacancies available at depots in Farnham. 🚂🚉
Plans to rebuild Frimley Park Hospital will move forward despite the government’s review of major NHS spending projects: The hospital was due for a complete rebuild under the previous New Hospitals Programme. While many NHS building projects face scrutiny as part of efforts to save a whopping £22bn, it was confirmed that Frimley Park is not part of the review, which is great news! 🏥🚑

Weather
Monday
20° 🌡️ 12° | 🌧️ | The yellow weather rain warning from Sunday continues into Monday, rain throughout most of the day, not the ideal start to the week.
Tuesday
18° 🌡️ 12° | ☁️ | Likely rain overnight but we should get a break for the rest of the day, it’ll be one of those breezy, gray, cloudy days though - possibly a few sunny spells late afternoon though!
Wednesday
17° 🌡️ 12° | ⛈️ | With Monday & Tuesday not looking fantastic, I’d love to tell you Wednesday will be better, but it won’t be.. Rain through most of the day with that being topped off by thunderstorms in the afternoon. 😔
Thank you! 👍
