Who doesn’t love an open-air cinema!?

Well, if you are a fan of open-air cinema, you’re in for an absolute treat this week.

Osterley Park & House, which yes I know, is just outside of Surrey (I just couldn’t keep this one to myself) is hosting a 4-day event, screening some absolute classics.

• Thursday 8th August: Pretty Woman

• Friday 9th August: The Great Showman Sing-a-Long

• Saturday 10th August: Mamma Mia!

• Sunday 11th August: Back To The Future

For each of the screenings, the gates open at 7:30 PM and the movie starts at 9:00 PM.

Guildfordian Ollie Wynne-Griffith wins Silver for Team GB

Guildford is celebrating! 

Local rowing star Ollie Wynne-Griffith has brought home a silver medal for Team GB! 

The talented athlete, who hails from our very own Guildford, has made the town incredibly proud with his outstanding performance.

Ollie and his rowing partner Tom George, pushed themselves to the limit. While they narrowly missed out on gold, (for which Ollie admitted he made a mistake!) their silver medal is a fantastic achievement and a great addition to Team GB’s medal tally.

Well done, Ollie!

Esher to Get a Taste of Great British Menu Magic

Former Tom Kerridge chef, Nick Beardshaw, is opening his own restaurant on Esher high street.

Starling will bring a touch of Great British Menu glamour to the High Street, with dishes like the winning 'Moon Shaped Pool' and 'Balloon Girl' - we have no idea what these dishes actually are yet, but they sound great! 

We can expect a simple menu of fresh, seasonal British food in a stylish and modern setting. 

We’ll be sure to keep you in the loop when it opens so you can secure your table ASAP.

Nick, if you’re reading, I don’t mind coming down to taste.

Surrey’s Brooklands Museum has soared to new heights, landing a spot in the Times’ UK’s top 14 family days out - how about that! 

Kids can live out their pilot dreams by climbing aboard a Concorde, and it will definitely keep them occupied for a day. 

The museum’s incredible collection of racing cars and aircraft brings to life the thrilling story of Brooklands as the world’s first motor racing circuit and a pioneer in aviation.

And the fun doesn’t stop there! Nearby attractions like the London Bus Museum and Mercedes-Benz World offer even more exciting adventures.
