Moulin Rouge at G Live – Don’t Miss Out! 🎭❤️

Surrey, what could be better on a cold Monday night in October?! Well, AJ & Curtis Pritchard (remember them!?) are about to whisk you away to the glittering, glamorous world of Moulin Rouge!

Dazzling lights, sultry vibes, and all the best hits from the popular movie-musical, from "Come What May" to "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend."

They’re even throwing in classics from other modern musicals that'll have you singing (and possibly doing jazz hands) in your seat!

Tickets are between £24 - £35.50, plus the good old transaction fee, grrr.

Meet the Makers in Shere at the Handmade Craft Fair! 🎨🧶

It’s raining Sunday, so you’ll need something to do indoors!

Head over to Shere’s craft fair, where you’ll find truly handmade, local treasures.

No imports, no mass-produced items – just unique creations straight from the hands of talented local artisans.

From woodwork to pottery, candles to crochet, there’s something for everyone! Plus, you can meet the makers and chat about their craft while browsing the beautiful village of Shere.

And guess what? Free entry! Enjoy a relaxed day out, dogs on leads are welcome, and take a break with some tea, coffee, and cake.

🐶 Treats and poop bags are on the house at reception – they’ve thought of everything!

The craft fair is on twice a month, so if you can’t make this one, you’ll have another chance next Sunday!

Soulful Sunday at The Minnow 🎷🎹

As I said earlier, it’s looking to be an indoorsy Sunday (the opposite of the picture above!), and if you’re looking for the perfect way to wind down your weekend? You can head over to The Minnow in Weybridge.

They’re hosting an afternoon of smooth, soulful tunes in their cozy bar area. From 3 PM to 7 PM on Sunday, 6th October, you can relax with some great music, whether you're popping in for a drink or staying for dinner. 🎶

🍴 Note: If you plan to dine at the restaurant, make sure to book in advance! Otherwise, feel free to just swing by and soak up the atmosphere.

Surrey Police might be facing some tough times ahead, with possible staffing cuts on the horizon as they try to tackle a potential £23.4 million financial gap: Despite a special government grant, Surrey only got £2.1 million, leaving them short. This means police staff (not officers) could be in the firing line for cuts. The force is looking at ways to save money, like changing shift patterns and reducing overtime, but they might have to dip into reserves if things don’t improve by next February. Let’s hope they can avoid any big disruptions! 😬💼

Plans for 74 homes at Clifton Nurseries Garden Centre have been approved, This means the beloved centre is set to be demolished. While it’s business as usual for now, the green light has been given despite residents’ worries about the already heavy traffic in the area. Surrey Highways waved off concerns, saying the extra cars won’t cause a “severe” impact. Affordable housing is in the mix, though the exact numbers are still being hammered out. Not sure how you’ll feel about this one if you live in the area. 🚗💨

Surrey's shiny new Eclipse Leisure Centre is all set to open its doors next week after a £50 million facelift: and it’s packed with state-of-the-art goodies.
