The RHS Daffodil Show is Blooming Brilliant! 🌼

Spring has officially sprung – and what better way to celebrate than being surrounded by hundreds of daffodils in every size, shade, and shape imaginable!

Look no further than RHS Garden Wisley, where the RHS Daffodil Show is almost in full bloom. Over 100 classes of daffodils – yes, 100+! – all proudly on display like they’re walking the yellow carpet.

Buttery yellows, crisp whites, sunset oranges, and even delicate pinks. From teeny-tiny miniatures that could sit happily in a teacup, to large, frilly doubles that look like they belong in a Bridgerton bouquet – there’s something for every flower fan.

And it’s not just about pretty petals, you’ll see entries from expert growers, breeders, and daffodil fanatics across the country, each one hoping their bloom bags a coveted RHS award.

Spring Gathering 2025 – All Aboard for Family Fun! 🚌

Get ready to ride in style (and maybe a little nostalgia) – the South East’s biggest and best bus show is back!

The Spring Gathering at Brooklands Museum is the ultimate day out for transport lovers, curious kids, and anyone who’s ever yelled “Top deck, front seat!”

🎉 Here’s what’s rolling in:

• 🚍 Epic vehicle displays across the whole site – vintage buses galore!

• 🚌 The grand unveiling of a freshly refurbished 1965 Daimler Fleetline XF3 – she's had a glow-up, and it shows.

• 🛍️ A Traders’ Market packed with books, models, memorabilia, and bargains galore – bring cash and curiosity.

• 🎩 Professor Crump and Simon the Balloon Twister will be working their magic for the little ones.

• 🧸 Children’s corner with hands-on fun, including a real bus cab to explore and some bears onboard (not grizzly, promise).

• 🚖 Taxi rides in a vintage 1955 Beardmore black cab – if his light's on, he’s ready to go (yes, even "south of the river" – the River Wey, that is).

• ☕ Food Village & Sunbeam Café – because bus-spotting works up an appetite.

🚍 Getting there:

• Hop on the FREE circular shuttle (Bus 462) from Weybridge Station or Library.

• Or catch the FREE Feeder Bus (462A) from Fulwell, Kingston, Epsom and more – it’s a rolling museum ride of its own!

Whether it's job creation, infrastructure upgrades, or a genius innovation that could put Surrey on the map, they want to hear from you. The best part? They’ve made the application process super simple by bundling several funding pots into one. Just make sure your idea ticks the boxes on skills, business growth, or local infrastructure. Deadline’s the end of May – get moving! 💼📈

Farnham’s getting a fresh set of eyes on the streets: From next week, new town rangers will be patrolling the town centre as part of the local Business Improvement District’s five-year plan to boost safety, tackle anti-social behaviour, and keep things looking shipshape. Acting as friendly faces and community connectors, these rangers will work alongside local police to support businesses, help visitors, and keep the good vibes rolling. Think of them as Farnham’s very own high-vis heroes. 🛍️🛡️

After a spike in fly-tipping at the Parley Drive recycling site, 14 Fixed Penalty Notices have now been dished out – seven just last weekend alone: Offenders were caught red-handed (well, on CCTV) dumping everything from mattresses to mystery black bags, despite clear signage and regular collections. The council’s cracking down hard, with £400 fines (or £300 if paid promptly) and a warning: if it keeps up, the whole site could be removed. So, let’s keep it clean, folks – recycle right and don’t dump where you dwell. 🛏️📹
