Jack's 400-Mile Walk for Mental Health and Homelessness 💪🏃♂️

Jack Percival, from Epsom, is walking over 400 miles from Surrey to Glasgow to raise awareness for men’s mental health, a cause close to his heart after he faced serious struggles with his wellbeing a year ago.
Starting his journey in January, Jack has been walking an average of 20 miles a day and is now making his way through the north of England.
Along with raising awareness, he’s also fundraising for Percy’s Homeless Hub, the charity he founded to support the homeless, a cause that holds personal significance to him.
Despite battling blisters and fatigue, Jack is pushing on to reach his final destination at Ibrox Stadium, proving that even in tough times, there’s always hope! Well done Jack!

In celebration of LGBT+ History Month, musician Matthew Quilliam is bringing some much-needed cheer to the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford this Tuesday: With his ukulele in hand and a smile as bright as his bow tie, Matthew’s charity performance is aimed at lifting the spirits of patients, visitors, and staff alike. The hospital has long collaborated with Music in Hospitals & Care, and Matthew believes that music not only creates a sense of community but also serves as a powerful expression of identity. His performance will be a joyful way to honour and support the LGBT+ community while fostering connection through music. 🎶🏳️🌈
FareShare Sussex and Surrey is appealing to local businesses for help as it faces its annual 'Hunger Gap' — a period between January and April when donations typically dip: The food redistribution charity, which helps combat food insecurity across the region, is urging businesses to donate surplus produce, like wonky vegetables or items with short shelf-lives. With the growing demand to support those struggling to access food, FareShare is finding it increasingly challenging due to factors like rising energy costs and extreme weather disrupting the growing season. But local companies, such as Barfoots, are stepping up, calling it “simply the right thing to do.” - learn more about them here. 🍅🥕
This February half term, Godstone Farm is bringing the fun with a brand-new scarecrow maze and plenty of adorable animals to meet! 🐑 From February 15 to 23, families can explore the farm, learn about farm life, and get hands-on with nature. Kids can enjoy animal interactions with lambs, ferrets, and even the majestic barn owl, Echo. There’s also a chance to get creative with crafts, solve mysteries as a “farm detective,” and let off some steam in Surrey’s biggest soft play area. With so much to do, it’s the perfect family outing this half-term! 🧩👨👩👧👦

Weather
Monday
4° 🌡️ 2° | 🌧️ | Today is going to be a wet one! It’s looking like we’ll have light rain almost all day, and there’s a breeze in the air, and it’s cold! What a start to a Monday!
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
5-7° 🌡️ 2° | ☁️ | For the rest of the week, it doesn’t look like we have any rain due, which is a positive! However, low temperatures between 5 and 7, and cloud cover for the week - sadly, not too much else to say on this week’s weather, it’s not good!

Thank you! 👍
