The Digest 🗞️😀
Epsom Library has officially reopened its doors after a major refurb, and it’s celebrating in style with a whole week of events from 16 to 21 June: The revamp includes cosy new furniture, expanded study space, meeting rooms, and flexible event areas — plus shiny new “Super Access” tech so you can pop in even after hours. Expect everything from yoga and author talks to face painting and Storytime sessions. Surrey’s libraries are getting a serious upgrade, and Epsom’s is leading the charge. 🧘♀️📖
Woking has just welcomed a brand new, state-of-the-art Community Diagnostic Centre at Woking Community Hospital, aiming to speed up diagnosis and ease pressure on nearby hospitals: The facility offers quick, local access to MRI and CT scans in a comfortable setting, and it's already seen its first patient through the door. Part of a wider NHS push to improve early diagnosis and reduce wait times, it’s great news for Surrey residents who won’t need to travel far for vital tests. 🏥⚕️
The Epsom Trailblazers are lacing up their boots for one epic adventure — tackling 11 Welsh mountains in just one day to raise money for charity. The 22 dads from Surrey will take on the Carneddau to Coast challenge, hiking 30km with a whopping 1,700m of climbing, all in aid of Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation and The Brain Tumour Charity. Spirits are high, training is done, and the beers and curry are already booked for the finish line. If you’d like to donate, you can do so here. 🌄🍛

Weather
Monday
24° 🌡️ 13° | ⛅ | A pretty pleasant start to the week with sunny intervals and a bit of a breeze. Ideal weather for outdoor coffee breaks or an evening walk, just don’t forget the sunglasses.
Tuesday
25° 🌡️ 13° | ☀️ | Glorious sunshine all day and a gentle breeze to keep things feeling fresh. Feels like proper summer now, perfect BBQ conditions if you ask me.
Wednesday
27° 🌡️ 13° | ⛅ | Another warm one with a mix of sun and cloud. Light winds, but a very high pollen count, so hayfever crew, stock up on antihistamines. It might be time to crack open the paddling pool.
Thursday
29° 🌡️ 15° | ☀️ | Scorchio. Wall-to-wall sunshine and very hot out there, plus very high pollen, again. Probably too warm for a lunchtime jog, but just right for a cheeky cold drink in the shade.

Thank you! 👍
