🌳 Surrey Half Marathon, Woodland Fair & Charity Walk! | 4th September

TOGETHER WITH

Good morning, Surrey. Simon here! This is Inspired Surrey, the email newsletter that makes you feel more accomplished than parallel parking perfectly in one go.

In today’s Inspired Surrey:

  • Last call for the Surrey half marathon this Sunday 🎽

  • Get stuck into Surrey Hills’ woodland heritage 🌲

  • Get walking for Alzheimer’s 💙

Let’s get to it!

The Surrey Half Marathon is this Sunday! 👟🏃‍♂️

I know it’s last minute, but if you’re looking for a fun way to kick off your September, we’ve got the perfect event for you - that is depending on your idea of fun though! 😛

Although it’s the Surrey Half Marathon, there’s other races to get involved in! They’ve got the Surrey Half Marathon, 5K, and 2K Kids race on Sunday, September 8th, 2024 at Woking Leisure Centre, Kingfield Road, Woking, GU22 9BA.

Whether you're aiming for a new personal best (it is a fast course!) in the Half Marathon or just want a fun run with friends and family in the 5K or 2K Kids race, there’s something for everyone.

Plus, enjoy a lively atmosphere with live music, amazing crowds, and fully closed-road routes through our beautiful Surrey countryside.

Every runner gets chip-timed results, a medal, which is why we do these things, let’s be honest, and some post-race goodies to celebrate your achievement!

This year’s race supports Crossroads Care Surrey, so every step you take helps a fantastic local charity.

👉 Location: Woking Leisure Centre, Kingfield Road, Woking, GU22 9BA
⏰ Time: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, Sunday, September 8th, 2024

Self-care doesn’t have to be a luxury!

Whether you're deep in training for a big event, six months pregnant and struggling with back pain, or spending long hours hunched over a desk in the heat, we all know how tough it can be on the body.

That's where Jemma at Surrey Massage Studio comes in. She runs a small, local business dedicated to providing personalized massage services tailored to your needs. No matter your situation, there's a massage just for you. Check out her website to learn more and book your session today!

This isn’t just a walk; it’s a chance to share advice, laughter, and support with a community that understands.

Accessibility & Facilities:

  • Dogs Welcome: Bring your furry friends along for the day.

  • Toilets and Refreshments: Available on-site.

  • Accessible Routes and Parking: The 2km route is fully accessible, and there’s dedicated parking for those who need it.
